Their online site is AnimationMagazine.net and is a digital mirror of the monthly publication.Problem:
Structure, design & develop an online dynamic resource for the previously published Animation Magazine Industry Directory (AMID).
Purpose:
The AMID would provide users a search engine capability of animation industry professionals and industry companies the opportunity to occupy listing pages within the directory database.
Solution:
SFIMG initially provided its research phase to directly search out and devise a plan of how to develop the necessary system. Taking into account the existing directory information Animation Magazine owns and outlining their specific online needs, SFIMG was able to provide a structured project analysis and architectual site plan.
Once the SFIMG recommendations and proposals were approved, the project was initiated into the development phase to begin the foundation programming in PHP. The SFIMG development team utilized the project blueprint created from the research phase and was able to launch the beta version sans final graphics within a 2 month period.
From the launch of the beta version, SFIMG worked closely with the Animation Magazine team to test and debug. In this deconstruction phase, the development team was able to discover necessary additions for usibility along with code updates and tweaks to move towards a final version.
